GM TBI Throttle Body Fuel Pressure Regulator Spring Item TB1
Hard to find fuel pressure regulator spring for most GM Throttle body TBI 220 Units. Fits most all the trucks with a 4.3 5.0 5.7 V8 engine with TBI fuel injection.
Why replace this spring? What happens? There are lots of these trucks out there with plugged PVC systems. When that happens the crankcase does not purge the moisture from the system. The vent tube from the valve cover dumps into a collar between the air cleaner and TBI unit. This vent then dumps the moisture right out onto the regulator / spring housing causing the spring to rust and deteriorate. In some cases the spring breaks causing low fuel pressure. If you are servicing the injectors or TBI unit you should consider replacing this hard to find spring.
